Unyap terms of use

Effective 24 October 2026

By installing or using the Unyap browser extension you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not install or use it.

You run it, with your own key

Unyap runs locally, in your browser, on your computer. I don’t operate a service for it, and I never receive, see or store your API key, the videos you watch or their analyses. The requests it makes go from your browser to OpenAI, under your own OpenAI account.

Your responsibility

You decide to install Unyap, to give it your API key and which videos to analyze. You alone are responsible for that use: for keeping your key safe, for every request made with it and its cost (set a budget in your OpenAI account), and for complying with OpenAI’s and YouTube’s terms and with the law.

Analyses can be wrong

Analyses are automated estimates made by an AI model. They can be inaccurate or incomplete. Do not rely on them for any decision.

No warranty

Unyap is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and uninterrupted operation. It may stop working at any time, for example when YouTube or OpenAI change.

No liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any damage, loss or cost arising from installing or using Unyap, or from being unable to use it, including charges on your API key, decisions based on an analysis and any loss of data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Not affiliated

Unyap is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube, Google or OpenAI.

Privacy and changes

What the extension sends and stores is described in the privacy policy. If these terms change, I update this page and its date.
